Wärtsilä way of ordering and invoicing for low spend transactions

We collaborate with CANDEX to streamline Wärtsilä’s purchasing and payment process for non-strategic low spend suppliers. 

The use of CANDEX is effortless, fast and secure with full transparency to you as our supplier as well as to Wärtsilä. 

Wärtsilä continues to be your business partner and Wärtsilä's General Terms and Conditions apply.

How it works

CANDEX takes only a few minutes and the details of your order (with PDF download) will be easily accessible when you register. Here is a quick summary of the steps:

Step 1
Receiving a Purchase Order (PO) 
When Wärtsilä wants to make a purchase, we'll send a Purchase Order (PO) to CANDEX for an authorized amount. As a supplier, you will receive an email notification with the details of the PO.


Step 2
Registration and Acceptance
To proceed, you need to register on the CANDEX platform and accept the purchasing terms set by Wärtsilä. This involves providing your bank details and agreeing to CANDEX's terms of use.
This needs to be done only once and takes 2 minutes!

Step 3
Submitting Invoices
Once registered, you can upload your invoice to CANDEX for up to the authorized amount. 
Important: The invoice should be addressed to CANDEX. For tax reasons, CANDEX cannot pay invoices addressed to Wärtsilä.

Step 4
Payment Process
CANDEX will then verify your invoice and invoice Wärtsilä on your behalf. The payment terms are as agreed with Wärtsilä. Once CANDEX receives the payment from Wärtsilä, they will remit the funds to you within three business days. 

Step 5
Tracking and Support
You can track the status of your orders and payments through the CANDEX platform. If there are any issues or delays with payments, CANDEX will work diligently with Wärtsilä and communicate frequently with you to resolve the problem promptly.
