Rudder roll stabilisation

marine

An adaptive control system that uses the existing steering gear and rudder. The operating principle of the rudder roll stabilisation is based on the concept of opposing the roll moment created by the waves with an induced roll moment developed by the movement of the rudder, thereby damping the ship roll motions. When using a rudder roll stabilisation system, the load on the steering gear and rudder increases.
