International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW 78/95)

STCW 78/95 defines the standards for the training and qualification for deck and machinery department and radio communication. It applies to the seafarers servicing onboard of seagoing ships except of warships, fishing vessels, pleasure yachts and wooden ships of simple construction.
