
In 2017, the Delimara 3 Power Plant in Malta benefitted from reduced electricity production costs and emission levels, as eight Wärtsilä HFO-fuelled engines were converted to run on natural gas, including installation of the new UNIC C3 engine control system.
The gas conversion project by Wärtsilä, provides the customer with several improvements in their operations, such as:
