Since delivering the first Wärtsilä NACOS Platinum systems in 2010, more than 1000 systems are currently in global operation. They are installed in vessels of all kinds and sizes, including container ships up to 20,000 TEU, the world’s largest and most prestigious cruise ships, naval vessels, offshore supply ships, mega-yachts, bulk carriers, product tankers and special ships, such as those used for wind farm maintenance. These ships are all equipped with Wärtsilä NACOS Platinum navigation systems, automation systems, DP systems or in many cases, large, complex Wärtsilä NACOS Platinum integrated systems.
Wärtsilä Multifunction Display System (MFD) 4000 is a flexible and fully redundant navigation solution providing the operator with a convenient task-oriented environment. The software provides the common base for installation of ECDIS MFD and Radar MFD systems depending on the primary task, functionality and required certificate. The system combines Wärtsilä Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS MFD, Navi-Radar 4000 MFD, Navi-Conning 5000 and Bridge Alert Management System – all running simultaneously to provide an integrated and complete overview of the vessel’s environment and advanced situational awareness support. All Wärtsilä 4000 MFD components are designed in compliance with IMO, IEC, DNV and Lloyds Register requirements.
