Court sanctions the Scheme of Arrangement related to Hamworthy acquisition

Wärtsilä is pleased to announce that the Scheme of Arrangement with regards to the acquisition of Hamworthy was sanctioned at a Court hearing held today in London, United Kingdom.

Subject to the Court hearing confirming the associated Reduction of Capital on 30 January 2012, the Scheme is expected to become effective and the control transferred to Wärtsilä on 31 January 2012.
