Wärtsilä Corporation announced a public offer to the minority shareholders of Wärtsilä India Ltd on 23 September 2002 to acquire 1,383,694 shares, or 11.5% of the share capital. The offer is scheduled to open on November 23, 2002 and close on December 21, 2002.
Acquisition of all these shares would mean an investment of approximately USD 3.6 million (EUR 3.7 million).
Wärtsilä Corporation’s current holding in Wärtsilä India Ltd totals 88.5% of the share capital.
