The increase in Wärtsilä Corporation’s share capital based on share subscriptions made during the current year under the 1996 bond with warrants was registered on 23 May 2003. During the period 2 January - 2 May 2003 altogether 124 warrants under the 1996 bond with warrants were exercised to subscribe for a total of 148,800 Wärtsilä Series B shares. The increase in share capital, based on these subscriptions, was EUR 520,800.
Following registration of these subscriptions the company has 15,415,855 Series A shares and 44,202,057 Series B shares, giving a total of 59,617,912 shares. The share capital after the increase totals EUR 208,662,692.
Under this bond with warrants programme, which started on 2 May 1996 and ended on 2 May 2003, altogether 180 warrants were exercised to subscribe for a total of 216,000 new Series B shares.
