Wärtsilä values its suppliers and, as Wärtsilä’s President and CEO Jaakko Eskola says in the handbook’s introduction: “This handbook sets out our expectations for a successful working relationship with our suppliers. We strive for world class performance in quality, delivery, cost, lead-time, solutions and innovativeness. For this we need to have committed suppliers having Wärtsilä as a preferred customer. We believe that this can only be achieved by sharing common goals, and by building a strong business relationship with all of our suppliers.”

“Our ambition is that the handbook triggers continual improvement with our suppliers in order to ensure ‘first time right’ quality, as well as the elimination of waste in the supply chain,” comments Pierpaolo Barbone, President, Services & Executive Vice President, Wärtsilä Corporation.
