Esa Kivineva has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Wärtsilä Corporation as of 1 April 2008. He reports to Group Vice President, CFO, Raimo Lind. In his new position, Kivineva succeeds Roger Holm, who is taking over the duties of director responsible for developing the operations of Wärtsilä Services.
Most recently, Esa Kivineva worked for four years in China, first as director of strategic projects and then as Managing Director of Wärtsilä Qiyao Diesel Company, Ltd. (Shanghai).
