Wärtsilä Corporation made a public offer to the minority shareholders of Wärtsilä India Ltd on 16 April 2002 to acquire 1,834,258 shares, or 15 % of the share capital. The offer period expires on 15 June 2002.
Acquisition of all these shares would mean an investment of approximately USD 4.5 million.
Wärtsilä Corporation’s current holding in Wärtsilä India Ltd totals 85% of the share capital.
