Wärtsilä BLRT Services Klaipeda starts operations

On September 14 Wärtsilä BLRT Services Klaipeda officially starts its operations. The company is a joint venture between Wärtsilä Corporation and BLRT Group, where 51 % is owned by Wärtsilä and 49 % by BLRT Group. The joint venture was announced in March this year.

Wärtsilä BLRT Services Klaipeda will provide full shiprepair services in the Baltic region, including servicing of engines, gearboxes, propellers and other ship equipment.

The company starts its operations with 70 employees and has a facility to draw on the extensive resources of both Wärtsilä and BLRT’s subsidiary Western Shipyard according to individual service needs.

Establishing a service company is integral to Wärtsilä’s strategy of strengthening its position as the Services supplier to its marine customers.

BLRT Group
