Wärtsilä Corporation, Press release 7 June 2005 at 11:00 UTC+2

The Dutch shipowner Wagenborg Shipping ordered two Wärtsilä 46F engines in April for a new feeder containership being built by IHC Holland Dredger BV at the Kinderdijk shipyard in the Netherlands. On its completion in mid-2006, the vessel will operate in the northern European waters.

In addition to the two main engines Wärtsilä will also supply the propeller for the vessel.

Introduced in autumn 2004, the Wärtsilä 46F is the latest medium-speed marine engine developed by Wärtsilä. Its main components and systems represent the best-in-class technology, offering high efficiency and record-low emissions regardless of the fuel quality.
