The smarter E Europe is Europe’s largest alliance of exhibitions for the energy industry, bringing together key players across renewable energy, grid infrastructure, and energy storage. The event combines exhibitions and conferences focused on the technical, regulatory, and market developments shaping the transition to a resilient, decarbonised energy system.
We will be contributing to two sessions:
1.Session “Inverter‑Dominated Power Grids – How do we Overcome our Dependency on Turning Masses of Fossil Power Plants?”. The session examines the role of grid‑forming inverters and energy storage in maintaining grid stability as renewable penetration increases.
Presentation title: "Grid Stability Lessons from One of Europe’s Biggest Batteries"
Presenter: Raymond Walsh, General Manager, Project Management
Presentation time: 23 June 2026, 09:50–10:05am
Panel discussion: 23 June 2026, 10:35–11:00am
Location: ICM München, Room 13 A, Munich, Germany
2. Session "Can We Trust AI to Run the Grid? From Data Infrastructure to Operational Intelligence." This session explores how AI is being applied in grid operations, what real-world results it has delivered so far, and what is needed - in terms of data, regulation, and trust - for it to become a reliable part of daily grid management.
Presentation title: "From Data to Decisions: Operational Lessons from AI in Utility-Scale Battery Storage"
Presenter: Steve Merrick, Staff Product Manager
Presentation time: 23 June 2026, 09:45–09:55am
Panel discussion: 23 June 2026, 10:25–11:00am
