Fuel supply systems for marine fuels

Wärtsilä fuel supply systems deliver safe and reliable fuel supply for LNG, methanol and ammonia in marine applications.

Fuel supply systems for marine fuels

Wärtsilä fuel supply systems manage the storage, processing, and supply of alternative fuels for marine engines. Designed for integration with Wärtsilä 4‑stroke engine solutions, the systems ensure reliable and controlled operation under varying conditions while meeting applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

Fuel supply systems for LNG, methanol, and ammonia

Each fuel and each vessel requires a dedicated fuel supply system design to ensure safe handling, consistent performance, and compliance with applicable regulations. Wärtsilä’s fuel supply systems are developed together with Wärtsilä engine solutions, maximising safety, supporting reliable operation, and enabling efficient use of onboard space.

Gas valve unit

The Gas Valve Unit (GVU) regulates engine‑specific gas pressure based on load, ensuring safe and reliable operation. It performs automatic leakage testing before gas operation and inerting with nitrogen in hazardous situations. Designed for installation in the engine room, each unit supports efficient and controlled gas supply for individual engines.
