Offshore rigs and production platforms rely on offshore supply vessels for the goods, personnel and construction materials needed for their operations. Wärtsilä Ship Design’s 78m Platform Support Vessel, the ‘ C4577’, is designed and equipped to fulfil these functions, in addition to being a fire-fighting and rescue vessel.
A DP2 system is included to provide reliable and robust dynamic positioning and manoeuvring. Its ample deck space allows room for common and specialty tools and deck cargoes. The deck also doubles as a platform for maintenance work and crane operations.
An electro-hydraulic telescopic deck crane of 5t capacity will be installed on the aft forecastle deck for the loading and unloading of deck cargoes.
