Christina E

Delivered in 2011, the Christina E has an integrated loading, cooling, and unloading system to enhance the quality of the stored fish. As a state-of-the-art fishing vessel designed by Wärtsilä Ship Design to perform purse seining/trawling and research operations, the vessel features technologies that minimize its environmental impact.

The vessel is equipped with an exhaust catalyser and hybrid propulsion. These reduce the need to constantly run the main engine and are, therefore, important cost saving factors. The Christina E is designed with an emphasis on low fuel consumption, a minimal environmental footprint, and safety and comfort for the crew.
