Wärtsilä has signed Technical Management Agreements with four Greek liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship owners. All agreements cover Condition Based Maintenance for a total of 80 Wärtsilä 50DF dual-fuel engines for a five year period.
Wärtsilä and China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) will establish a joint venture, which will take over Wärtsilä’s 2-stroke engine business. CSSC will own 70% of the business while Wärtsilä will hold a 30% ownership position.
A total of 16 Wärtsilä 32 generating sets will be delivered for two new well intervention vessels for Siem Offshore from Norway. Each genset will be fitted with an SCR catalyst to clean the exhaust and NOx emissions.
