Today, Wärtsilä North America (WNA) employs approximately 800 professionals in nine regional locations across the US and Puerto Rico. This also includes three regional facilities of Wärtsilä subsidiary and Defense Maritime Solutions.
WNA’s Marine, Energy and Energy Storage teams serve the commercial power market (utilities, independent power producers, industrial) and maritime market (cruise & ferry, merchant, offshore and special vessel) in the United States. Wärtsilä North America has installed 8+ GW of power in the US and provides life cycle services for these industry segments.
Wärtsilä Energy helps our customers in decarbonisation by developing market-leading technologies. These cover future-fuel enabled balancing power plants, hybrid solutions, energy storage and optimisation technology, including the GEMS energy management platform. Read more
