History of Wärtsilä in the Philippines

1992Establishment of Wärtsilä Philippines Representative sales office in Makati.
1993Wärtsilä Diesel Philippines, Inc. (WDPH) was incorporated
1994Workshop and warehouse in Laguna was inaugurated. A warehouse in Subic was also opened.
1995WDPH becomes an independent Network Company. WDPH installed Wärtsilä engine in Norwegian Training Center for training purposes.
1997Company name changed to Wärtsilä NSD Philippines, Inc.. during merger with New Sulzer Diesel but waschanged to Wärtsilä Philippines Inc. and Wärtsilä Subic Inc. in 2000.
2001Training Centre in Subic for engine trainings was inaugurated.
2005Training Centre in Subic expanded with Full bridge Ship simulators and other nautical trainings with support from affiliate Wärtsilä Land and Sea Academy, Inc.
2007More expansion in Training Centre i.e.3-storeyEngine hall, 2-storeybuilding forcustomer use and safety training area, which makes the training facilities fence-to-fence area of over 40,000 sqm.
2008Start operation of e-solutions and Training Product Development in Subic
2009About 100MW O&M agreement in Cebu and Masbate was signed
