Mr Kari Hietanen, LLM (38) has been appointed Vice President, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary as of January 1, 2002. Mr Hietanen was earlier corporate counsel of Wärtsilä Power divisions. He joined the Group in 1989. Kari Hietanen will succeed Pekka Virtanen who will retire on the same date.
