Wärtsilä Malaysia, a fully-owned subsidiary of the technology group Wärtsilä, has received Bumi Armada Berhad’s Supplier HSSEQ Performance Award. The award recognises Wärtsilä’s commitment towards Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ) in its operations. John Sydney, Vice President of Services for Middle East & Asia, and Bryan Leong, Services Sales Director and Managing Director of Wärtsilä Malaysia, received the award from Mr Megat Zariman bin Abdul Rahim, Bumi Armada’s Head of Offshore Marine Services.
Wärtsilä Services had collaborated with Bumi Armada Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) team for 7 years, providing technical services, and operations and maintenance (O & M) services support to all of Bumi Armada OSV vessels globally. By taking advantage of our maintenance services, the innovated system integration can further re-enhance the environmental performance and fuel saving solutions driven by Bumi Armada to increase the efficiency and reliability of its vessels.
Wärtsilä has also provided ship design, electrical and automation systems, and propulsion solutions for Bumi Armada’s vessels. The design concept and technology solutions were carefully selected to ensure the total life cycle of the equipment is maximised.
