Local press release 28 January 2015 at 10:00 UTC+2

Marco Golinelli, Director of the Power Plants Business Unit of Wärtsilä Italia, and member of the company’s Management Team and Global Working Group Scenario, was nominated President of Italcogen for the two-year period 2015-2016 and member of the Board of Directors of ANIMA.

Marco Golinelli’s objective as the new president will be to strengthen the role of the association so that it increasingly sets the standard for cogeneration and energy efficiency for Italy. In addition, he will actively support the development and implementation of regulations, procedures and directives that promote energy efficiency.

“I would like to thank all members of the association for the trust they have placed in me. Italcogen has achieved a series of significant results for the promotion of energy efficiency and distributed generation” stated Marco Golinelli. “Our task is to forge ahead with even greater enthusiasm – the future holds new challenges that, I’m certain, we will be able to best address both together, as an association, and individually, as single companies”.

Italcogen is the National Association of Manufacturers and Distributors of Cogeneration Plants and is part of ANIMA (Federation of National Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries).
