BlackRock, Inc. has today informed Wärtsilä Corporation that it has purchased Wärtsilä shares on the 17 December 2010 and now owns over one twentieth (1/20) of the company’s votes. Following the transaction BlackRock Inc. owns 4,941,759 shares or 5.01% of Wärtsilä’s share capital and total votes.
