The new year began on a high note with a successful ministerial delegation visit to Saudi Arabia and Oman, led by Finland’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Wille Rydman.
This milestone visit underscores Finland’s commitment to strengthening partnerships in the Gulf region and exploring new avenues for collaboration in key industries.
The delegation included prominent Finnish companies representing industries such as mining, ICT, Energy, Education and smart city solutions: Nokia, Wärtsilä, Mining Finland, Roxia, Oinride, Oivan, Sumirai Technologies, Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) / Geologian tutkimuskeskus (GTK), Elmery Ltd Oy, Rock Physics Finland Ltd, Geopyörä, Finnvera.
Over the course of five days, we engaged in productive meetings with several key stakeholders and partners in both SaudiArabia and Oman that have set a strong foundation for collaboration and innovation in areas like sustainability mining, circular economy, energy Education and advanced technology solutions.
Our delegation also attended the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in Riyadh, where Finnish companies showcased their expertise, networked with global and regional stakeholders, and explored potential partnerships.
