Mr Kari Hietanen, LLM, Group General Councel, has been appointed Group Vice President, HR and Legal Affairs with effect from 1st January 2003. In his new position he will be a member of and secretary to the Board of Management of Wärtsilä Corporation. He will also continue as a Company Secretary.
Mr Christian Andersson, LLM, Group Vice President, will be responsible for the Group External Relations and acts as Chairman of a number of Group companies. He will also take the responsibility for the Group headquarters renewal project. He reports to Ole Johansson, CEO.
Mrs Taina Sopenlehto, Dr (Tech.), has been appointed Vice President, Human Resources, with effect from 1st January 2003, reporting to Kari Hietanen. She will also continue in her present position as HR director in the Marine Division.
