Wärtsilä to donate EUR 1.5 million to universities

Wärtsilä has decided to donate a total of EUR 1.5 million to support science, research and teaching in Finnish universities. The support will be distributed as follows: EUR 1 million to Aalto University, EUR 300,000 to Hanken School of Economics and EUR 200,000 to Åbo Akademi University.

“Universities are important partners to Wärtsilä in research and product development. With this donation we want to support the continued success and high quality of Finnish higher education also in the future. At the same time, it is an investment in terms of our recruitment,” says Ole Johansson, CEO.
