If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab (publ.) has informed Wärtsilä Corporation that If Teollisuusvakuutus Oy has been merged with If Vahinkovakuutusyhtiö Oy. As a result of this transaction the number of votes in Wärtsilä Corporation held by If Vahinkovakuutusyhtiö Oy now exceeds 5%.
If Vahinkovakuutusyhtiö previously owned 625,044 Wärtsilä Series A shares and 658,996 Series B shares. If Teollisuusvakuutus previously held 446,708 A shares and 553,292 B shares. Hence If Vahinkovakuutus and If Teollisuusvakuutus held altogether 2,284,040 A and B shares, representing 3.84% of the share capital and 6.02% of the votes.
Following the merger If Vahinkovakuutusyhtiö owns 1,071,752 A shares and 1,212,288 B shares, or altogether 2,284,040 shares, representing 3.84% shares and 6.02% of the votes.
The change in ownership took place on 30 September 2002.
