This engine training course is designed for staff and crew who need to acquire the necessary competencies for the efficient operation of Wärtsilä engines and related systems. It covers all roles and levels of seniority involved in the engine operation and maintenance management. For employees who need to be able to safely supervise and perform general maintenance and troubleshooting procedures we recommend, in addition to this course, the Engine W34SG Practical course. Prerequisite: The trainees should have a basic knowledge and operational experience of large medium speed engines. Theoretical education on internal combustion engines is preferred. Otherwise, is recommended to attend first the Engine W34SG Introduction course.
