We are excited to have Andy Boulter join our Water & Waste team as Sales Manager. Andy will be representing our waste and wastewater treatment solutions, most importantly our Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) and Membrane BioReactors (MBRs). The last 5 years he has been fulfilling a similar role in the aerospace industry.
“I love building new and lasting relationships with people and prospective customers. Helping solve customer problems really appeals to the engineer in me” , says Andy. He also relishes the challenge in converting customers using competitors’ equipment and buying ours and is looking forward to boisterously fly the flag of WAW and to help put the ex-Hamworthy business back on the map. “My goal is to fundamentally grow the sales of Wärtsilä’s STP’s and MBR’s. But my preference is to do this as a team, and in a sustainable manner. Ultimately, I want to have fun doing it.”
In a previous life Andy was an engineering officer onboard Holland America Line Ms Westerdam. “I am immensely proud of this time. I was able to do a fast-track cadetship that lasted only 18 months, instead of the 3+ years. Even at 24 years old, I was considered to be ‘an old cadet’.” Not only did Andy get to see the world, but he also learned how to become extremely self-sufficient as well as to work as part of a cohesive team. These skills have proven to be invaluable in later stages of life.

- has a pilot’s licence and likes to fly a shared plane as often as he can
- loves to run & road cycle – largely to support the above dieting effort.
- spends his best time with family and friends
- is into mastering the art of pizza making
