History

Wärtsilä presence in Poland starts in 1995.

Today we are the part of Wärtsilä Corporation.

1995
Wärtsilä Diesel Oy Rep. Office starts cooperate in Gdansk.

1996
Merger of New Sulzer Diesel Polska and Wärtsilä Diesel Polska. Since then the company has been operating as Wärtsilä NSD Polska.

1997
Establishing ahead office in Warsaw.

2008
Wärtsilä aims to become a leader in ship design – acquires Vik-Sandvik. As a consequence, former Vik-Sandvik becomes Wartsila Ship Design Poland.

2009
Establishing a branch office of Wartsila Polska in Szczecin.

2011
Wartsila Polska opens the first – about 500 sqm working area - workshop in Gdansk, outfitted with the top quality work tools and machines.

2012
Wärtsilä acquires Hamworthy. Polish design office changes the name to Wärtsilä Baltic Design Centre.

2014
The main seat of Wartsila Polska moves to Gdansk
