Charging towards profitable decarbonisation – how to gear up for the future?

18-20 June 2024 | Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands | Booth 2000

Electrification is a key building block on our journey to decarbonise the marine industry. The use of electrical systems onboard will enable smarter propulsion systems that are resilient and flexible enough to adapt to future changing needs. Combining electrical propulsion and the move towards renewable energy sources opens up an interesting route to profitable decarbonisation - enabling vessels to reduce emissions and fuel costs dramatically.

How does hybridisation support adoption of new fuels

New fuels, such as ammonia and methanol are on the rise, but they will cost more require specialised storage and delivery systems and have a lower power density than traditional fuel.  In this presentation we explain how hybridisation supports the transition to future fuels including - improving load management and efficiency to save fuel.
