Tekniska verken, Linköping (Sweden)

Teknsika verken reference

A new liquid biogas (LBG) plant to be supplied by the technology group Wärtsilä will provide an alternative fuel for the Swedish Linköping region businesses. The plant will reduce CO2 levels by enabling the use of clean-burning LBG instead of fossil fuels. For example, the local Toyota plant will replace fossil-based liquid petroleum gas (LPG), currently used in its paint shop drying lines, with LBG. The complete Wärtsilä technical solution was ordered by Tekniska verken, the Linköping based provider of resource efficient services, and was booked by Wärtsilä in September 2018.

The Wärtsilä equipment consists of an onshore bio-liquefaction plant with truck filling capability. It is scheduled to be delivered by summer 2019, and the plant is set to be fully operational in December of that year.

For more than 20 years we have pioneered and promoted the use of biogas as fuel for vehicles. We are familiar with Wärtsilä’s capabilities in this field, and are very pleased to be working with them again to bring our production facilities completely up to date.
