Gas engine power plant to ensure grid stability in Espirito Santo, Brazil

In 2010, Wärtsilä delivered a standby gas power plant of twenty-four Wärtsilä 20V34SG engines to Linhares Geração S.A. of Brazil. The power plant with a total output of 204 MW was supplied under an EPC contract.

The customer is an IPP (independent power producer), and the plant is located in the state of Espirito Santo, close to the city of Linhares.
