Firstly, in this paper, we will explore the various power generation options which are available to provide electricity to an industrial zone located in Myanmar such as grid connection, high- speed engines rental solution, medium-speed reciprocating engines captive power plant.
Secondly, this paper will also investigate the possible liquid fuel available for such captive power plant located in an industrial zone and also, the feasibility of cogeneration since some factories in the industrial zone required steam production for their processes.
Using the levelised cost of generated electricity, this paper will present case studies of power plants using medium-speed internal combustion engines capable of running on liquid fuel versus high-speed rental solutions.
