Wärtsilä guarantees that it will help its customers for the reliability and cost-effective operations of all the equipment supplied under the Sales Contract and to supply the basic services such as servicing, spare parts and technical assistance all throughout the lifecycle of the plant.
Purpose of Service
For Wärtsilä, the aim of the Servicing is to ensure proper and cost-effective operation of all products supplied by Wärtsilä and to provide all services requested by the customers.
Worldwide Cooperation
Wärtsilä can easily provide the service requirements of its customers worldwide by means of the Global Service Organization. There is a Local Service Company in the countries of our customers that they can easily access and communicate with their native languages. These companies are constantly exchanging information with the main plant as well asbetween each other in order to provide the highest quality services to our customers worldwide.

It is a Wärtsilä Service Organization tradition to ensure that all members of the personnel acquire the highest qualities by subjecting them to personal orientation development and training.
Wärtsilä can ensure the commissioning of new plants and provision of quality, reliable and fast services requested by the customers thanks to the service companies and their personnel that are based at the key locations worldwide.

Service Contracts
In addition to the Services provided upon customer requests, Wärtsilä also provides long-term services through Service Contracts signed with the customers. In terms of customer, the Service Contract is a long-term agreement with the manufacturer for a cost-effective, reliable and continuously operating plant. In terms of Wärtsilä, the Service Contract is the opportunity to provide the customers within the areas of responsibility with a planned, guaranteed service within the scope of service policy and carry the existing service quality forward to the level of excellence.
Our goal as the service department is to make service contracts with all the customers within our responsibility areas and reach the excellence in servicing by expanding our staff.
Basic Services provided by Wärtsilä can be summarized as follows:
- Technical support and maintenance service for engines and auxiliary equipment or systems located at the plants or ships of customers
- Spare parts services through the global logistics network
- Service stations worldwide using special trained personnel and special equipped workshops
- Training services provided to the customers at the production facilities or training centers based in certain locations worldwide
- Long-term service

Our territory of responsibility is Turkey for both the power plants and ship engines.
Service Sales
Sales staff of our service department is located in our head office in Besiktas and the technical staff is located in Service Office and workshop in Tuzla.
Our Service Sales department can directly intervene with the spare parts offers, orders and deliveries in line with the customer requests thanks to the Wärtsilä Global Computer Network available at both offices.
Field Services Team
The services provided by our service department are rendered by a Field Services Team of expert Engineers and Technicians that constantly develop and educate themselves, are aware of the worldwide applicable service policy of Wärtsilä and are capable of meeting the requirements of customers in Turkey. Furthermore, service department technical staff can access to technical information regarding all the engines in Wärtsilä product range on a 24/7 basis thanks to the Wärtsilä Global Computer Network.
Particularly, all the periodical maintenance, diagnostic and troubleshooting services for the four-stroke engines of Wärtsilä are carried out by our Field Services Team by using the special maintenance equipment that we own. Due to the widespread distribution of power plants and ship engines over the Turkish geography, the maintenance equipment and workbenches available at our Service Office are selected so as to provide onsite maintenance for the plants.
Maintenance Workshop
Fast and accurate maintenance and overhaul of engine parts within the Wärtsilä product range are carried out in our maintenance workshop located in Istanbul-Tuzla Shipyards Zone. The expert staff of our workshop carries out cleaning, maintenance and overhaul of parts within a service area of 750 m2 including an indoors area of 400 m2 in a fast manner thanks to our washing and stoning workbenches that are selected with due care.
Measurement tools and instruments that we use during maintenance are in compliance with the global Wärtsilä standards and enabling us to fulfill all requirements of maintenance. Precision calibrations of all measurement tools and instruments are carried out by specialized firms because of our quality concept and certificate.
