First LMT thruster assembled in Delivery Centre Trieste
The first Lips Modular Thruster (LMT), approved by ABS classification society, has been assembled in Delivery Centre Trieste in Italy. This LMT will be supplied as spare unit for the semisubmersible drilling unit called “Development Driller III” and built at Keppel FELS shipyard for Global Santa Fe Corporation. The project was performed in due time and the thruster will be delivered on 31 December 2010.
The LMT manufacturing was transferred to Trieste from Drunen where the production activities have now come to an end after the final thruster was delivered in December.
