One project was for a 45 MWe diesel power plant to be built for a Cambodian IPP, Cambodia Electricity Pte Co Ltd (CEP), and delivered in the summer of 2006. The plant was built under a turnkey contract with a consortium lead by Wärtsilä. The plant comprises of six Wärtsilä 18V32 generating sets, all running on heavy fuel oil.
The other project was a 15.6 MWe extension to a 30 Mwe diesel power plant owned by another Cambodian IPP investor; Khmer Electrical Power Co Ltd (KEP). The extension was delivered on a turnkey basis and it comprised of two Wärtsilä 18V32 generating sets operating in baseload mode, burning heavy fuel oil. The power generated by both plants will be supplied to the Cambodian grid.
