Wärtsilä ELAC UT 3000

Wärtsilä ELAC UT 3000 is the very first underwater communication system combining analogue and digital data communication in one unit. In addition to the telephony and telegraphy mode, it offers unique features such as own noise measurement, horizontal distance measurement and transmission of SOS signals.

The new digital mode allows fast and reliable digital through water information exchange for the first time. The possibilities for digital data transfer are nearly unlimited. With Wärtsilä ELAC UT 3000, own position data, SMS, manoeuvre reports or target data can be exchanged between submarines in a secure and reliable way.

Standardised or modified interfaces support the integration into the communication network of the vessel. The system is available for surface vessels and submarines.

The optional feature MASQ was developed to provide the next-generation reliable through water communication system capable of operating at speed and depth. MASQ guarantees confidential and secure signalling.
