Wärtsilä started its activities in Pakistan in the early eighties through an agent. As the business activities increased in Pakistan, Wärtsilä established as a private limited company and opened an office at Lahore in 1994 and another one at Karachi in 1995.
Wärtsilä Pakistan’s main business activities are power plant sales, ship power sales and related services. The total engine capacity in Pakistan currently is over 1700 MW out of which 1000 MW is installed at Independent Power Plants (IPPs), 680 MW at captive power plants (CPPs) and 88 MW in ship power.

Wärtsilä Pakistan is the only company in Pakistan with Authorized Independent Service Facility (ASIF) for Woodward Governors of Japan. The Governor Service facility has been setup as per Woodward standards with the capability of servicing all type of Woodward products. We have highly competent and trained and dedicated workforce of over 300 persons.
