Wärtsilä delivers a 15.8 MW power plant to Antigua

At the beginning of the year Wärtsilä won a contract to supply a power plant to the private power supplier Antigua Power Company Ltd in the Caribbean. This is an extension to an existing power plant delivered in 1997.

After its extension the power plant will be powered by four Wärtsilä 32 engines giving a total output of 28.8 MW. Antigua Power Company Ltd will sell the electricity to the national utility, Antigua Public Utility Authority.

The extension will be completed by the beginning of 2004.
