Wärtsilä Corporation has sold 10 million B shares in Assa Abloy AB (publ.) for approximately EUR 150 million. Wärtsilä will record a capital gain of approx. EUR 125 million on this sale. The tax on the capital gain is approx. EUR 35 million.
After this transaction Wärtsilä holds 7,270,350 Series B shares which represents 2.0% (4,7) of the total number of the shares and 1.4% (3,2) of the voting rights. After this transaction the market value of Wärtsilä´s holding is approximately EUR 110 million.
