If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab (publ.) and Sampo plc have notified Wärtsilä Corporation that under an agreements made, If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab Group’s holding in Wärtsilä Corporation will rise to over 5 per cent of the votes in Wärtsilä Corporation and Sampo plc’s holding both of the votes and shares will decrease under 5 per cent. The companies mentioned have provided Wärtsilä Corporation with the following information about their holdings in Wärtsilä.
If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab Group’s holding
The holding changed on 2 January 2002. On execution of the agreement, If Teollisuusvakuutus Oy owns 446,708 A Shares and 553,292 B Shares in Wärtsilä. If Vahinkovakuutusyhtiö Oy owns 625,044 A Shares and 658,996 B Shares in Wärtsilä. In other words If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab Group holds a total of 2,284,040 Wärtsilä shares. If Skadeförsäkring Holding held previously no Wärtsilä shares.
Subsequent to the deal, If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab Group owns 3.94 per cent of Wärtsilä Corporation’s share capital and 6.20 per cent of the votes.
Sampo Oyj’s holding
The holding changed on 2 January 2002. On execution of the agreement, Sampo Life Insurance Company owns 594,660 A Shares and 1,095,772 B Shares in Wärtsilä. The shareholding has not changed. If Teollisuusvakuutus Oy (previously Sampo Teollisuusvakuutus Oy) owned before the agreement 446,708 Wärtsilä A Shares and 553,292 Wärtsilä B Shares. If Vahinkovakuutusyhtiö (previously Vakuutusyhtiö Sampo Oy) owned before the agreement 625,044 Wärtsilä A Shares and 658,996 Wärtsilä B Shares. On execution of the agreement, Mandatum Stockbrokers Ltd will own 271 Wärtsilä B Shares which is the same amount as earlier.
On execution of the agreement, Sampo plc owns 2.91% of the shares and 3.66% of the votes, the earlier holdings being 6.85% and 9.86% respectively.
