Wärtsilä's history in France started in 1989 when Wärtsilä acquired shares from the former SACM Diesel company. After this Duvant Crepelle, New Sulzer Diesel, Poyaud, Lips Defence, Deutz Marine and latest Total Automation, have joined the core business in France.
