Brief Historical Overview of Wärtsilä in Chile

Wärtsilä went into business in Chile in November 1992, starting off with the installation of a major decentralized power plant for a mining customer located in the 1st Administrative Region of the country (the Tarapacá Region).

Today we have offices and shops in Valparaíso and Talcahuano, where our highly trained and qualified personnel serve our customers in the mining, commercial fishing, salmon farming, merchant marine and energy sectors all over the country.

Currently in South America, Wärtsilä has an active presence in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Chile.
