Field Service is mainly working with custormers, Wärtsilä network offices, customer support operations and licensees under a range of topics in close cooperation with our world-wide Wärtsilä network.
Our engineers and service technicians take care of overhaul and repairs, troubleshooting on remote control systems (electrical, electronic and pneumatic), all kinds of investigations on operating behaviour, supervision of newbuildings at licensees, engine tuning, and commissioning of engines on test beds at licensees, as well as commissioning of new engines installed on vessels followed by sea trials, and recommissioning of engines after overhaul.
