The Testing & Validation department delivers all measuring data, test results and feedback needed to determine the product performance (verification) and to confirm the product design (validation). The experts of the Instrumentation & Measurement team take care of preparation and recording of required data.
This activity is primarily carried out on the research engine or on a component test rig in our laboratory in Oberwinterthur. In addition specific optimisation tests on production engines are run on the test beds of licensees. For shipboard testing and long-term investigations the engines will be followed in ship installations during sea trials and during service operation.
