Ship Power Merchant is responsible for the promotion and sales of all Wärtsilä products for Merchant ships world-wide. Depending on the ship newbuilding project, and the shipowner’s and shipyard’s requirements we offer, deliver, commission and service complete machinery packages consisting of main engine, propeller, shafting, bearings, seals, thrusters, generating sets, ancillary equipment and much more. Technical specifications and commercial offers are provided by Ship Power Merchant for the Wärtsilä products. A large portion of the low-speed engines are however directly market by our licensees to customers within the assigned territories.
Ship Power Merchant supports shipowners, shipyards and design companies in engine selection, machinery evaluation, operating cost analysis and such related matters.
The department works in close cooperation with other Wärtsilä Business Centres, the extensive Wärtsilä sales networks and our licensees.
