Wärtsilä specializes in all types of welding: submerged arc, pulse MIG, TIG, regular MIG, stick, power or wire metal spray, hot welding, and brazing. All welding procedures are in strict compliance with ASME and AWS standards along with our ISO requirements.
We can identify component material either by the utilization of an alloy analyzer or the removal of some material for third-party analysis. Once the material's composition has been determined we can proceed with the appropriate weld procedure, including stress relieving if necessary to ensure a quality job.
Our welding can be ultrasonic inspected in-house or by an independent third-party for bond and inclusions, and all welding is checked for cracks or imperfections by non-destructive testing methods.
If stress relieving is required, we have a computer controller furnace that is over 500 cubic feet and can reach controlled temperatures up to 2000 degrees F.
