Wärtsilä started its activities in Bangladesh in the early nineties and as its business grew a locally incorporated company was formed in 1998.
Wärtsilä's main business activities in Bangladesh are power plant sales, ship power sales and related services. As of today, total Wärtsilä supplied engine capacity in Bangladesh is about 450 MW. Through 24 hours service, our committed after sales service team helps the customers in running their power plants. We also operate and maintain several power plants covering 28 engines generating about 160 MW power in the country.
Today, Wärtsilä in Bangladesh has 165 employees who are not only highly qualified and trained but also have the highest sense of dedication to provide support to our customers to ensure Wärtsilä's recognition as a "Total Service Provider".
